Overview

Welcome to Martini Lutheran Church! We celebrate over 150 years of gathering together, by God’s grace, in Word and Sacrament in the historic Lutheran liturgy in south Baltimore. We are a small congregation with regular visitors and regular catechesis opportunities. We like to think of ourselves as the kind of congregation where “everyone knows your name.” Because we are a confessional congregation, according to the Bible (the inerrant, divinely inspired Word of God) and the Book of Concord (a right exposition of and in accord with the Word of God), we are also a confessing congregation, ready to give a reason for the hope that is within us to all whom we may encounter. We invite you to “come and see” how God has cared for His people of old since the days of German church-planting by FCD Wyneken by means of the Christ-focused and countercultural liturgy and means of grace in an ever-changing city. We have an ample parking lot and are located within walking distance of M and T Bank Stadium (Ravens- NFL), Camden Yards (Orioles- MLB), and the many attractions of the Inner Harbor (Aquarium, historic ships, Science Center, etc.) as well as many of Baltimore’s historic sites. Even though our communion is closed (come in and ask why!) our doors are always open. We look forward to meeting you and sharing the joy that is ours in Christ Jesus.Rev.
