Overview

At Our Savior, we have and appreciate the historical traditions handed down to us that faithfully and beautifully confess Christ and Him crucified in the Divine Service. Thus, we enjoy chanting, rich hymnody, chasuble, crucifixes, processions, chalice, and many other aspects that are considered by others as “high” Church. We think it’s simply, yet extraordinarily, Church and come every opportunity we can to receive the promises of God in Word and Sacrament and to respond to Him with reverent thanksgiving. We know the Common Service is a treasure built upon and with God’s Holy Word. We joyfully follow its order in all of our Divine Services. Combine all of those factors and the result is a deep sense of the reality happening of heaven meeting earth by our Lord Jesus Christ coming in Word, His Body, and His Blood whenever we gather at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church.
